I-i-i..... give up. Mix of old and new cg, stretching back from 4 months ago. I made this whole picture as i went along and the only part with actual lineart is half the girl orz
I kept adding and taking things over and over and im fed up [D;] I call it finished even though there's messy cg, bad light source and unoriginality [=w=];; Should have gone back and drew some different sort of trees too [:/] I am proud of my lilies though.
DIDN'T ORIGINALLY TRY TO MAKE HER LOOK SO DEPRESSED [8D;;]
I just went though around 389470328432 tests for the last few weeks, so i hope i get some free time this week~

I actually received several suggestions for Melancholy by =Namie-kun and had to agree with each one of them. This piece is colourful, imaginative and full of mood and life. (

When I see this picture, all I can see is just perfection, the coloring, composition is almost perfect.
The way the artists render the water is really commendable, the luminescence effect the artist put on the water make the picture even more beautifull. Not to mention the details the artist put on each fish. Each fish really have a different pattern on each other, making it a beautifull element for the picture.
I almost can't found any flaw in this picture, except probably a bit about its composition,at first its a bit hard for me to see the focus on this picture,am I right to asssume that the girl is the focus of this picture?either way, this is only a minor thing
This picture is already beautifull as it is,salute to the artist..
My first impression is that it is lovely, technically well done, and very expressive. I love the colors you used, and the cell shading is also exquisite. It is very bright, which gives the picture a warm summery day kind of cheery feel, which is strongly contrasted by the title and the look on the girl's face. This feels like you are trying to say that the girl is depressed in part because everything is so great... but not for her.
You did an excellent job with the water, and I like the dappled lite. Her eyes are lovely and the flowers are a great touch. Also love the fish.
There is one thing that concerns me about the piece. That is the foliage in front of her. I like that she gets lost into the plants... but they are relatively undefined... not too much of a problem, except that part of the plants cover her head a little, and her arm reaching forward into the water, which draws the attention to those plants... making them more o f a foreground than a background, and the lack of definition sort of messes with me a little. Really, that is a minor concern, and just my opinion. Overall, this is a great piece. Keep up the great work. ^__^
this is really beautiful. you really did a great job on the lilies and the koi, along with the water. My only two minor complaints are the foliage and her eyes. The foliage is rather distracting and smothers the picture. They distract from the beautiful-ness of your picture- your like 'oh it so pretty and rela- what are those bushes doing there?'. and m=the only small little thing i dont like about the eyes is that they're a little bright, and i just realized this, but there are no sakura trees but there are sakura petals on the water. its truly a wonderful piece of art. Bravo, my good lady/sir
