But anyways, the way the setting was laid out and how the "rough" textures are done gives this piece a rather "abstract"/"dreamy" feel to it (like stuff you see in your dreams). The balance of cool and warm colors seem to be equal as well, which really helps a whole lot with the overall composition.
The facial expressions on the characters really play their part. The expression on the black rock shooter gives shows signs of weary while the dead master gives a confident "you're going to lose" expression, making you feel like you are the Black Rock Shooter fighting against the Dead Master.
Overall, this is an amazing piece and I truly like it a lot!
