i have been very sad. all my life i have been over-looked by my family. im never the special one. i was always the camelia blossom, the flower without fregrance. my family thinks me plain though i never realized it before. i was just that smart tomboy who never seems to talk. yet even now, my place in life is being replaced. i was just the smart one, and only at school. because i knew that was all i was, i decided to try and play up that part of me. i did whatever i could to be the smartest person. the one people thought of when they heard the word smart. then last year i made a new friend, caitlin. she tried harder than me. she made the grades, i began to lack. but i still luv her to peices, and could never tell her how it makes me feel to know i dont have anything special about me anymore.

How do you make them?
I use a Tecre model button machine to produce high quality buttons.  All the buttons are hand-made and inspected by me to ensure they will clip on properly.  They are durable and will last the standard wear-and-tear of your normal everyday activities.

Knitting 101: Casting OnWhen I first learned to knit, I learned the long-tail cast-on... and I never imagined how many different methods of casting on there could be! I wanted to share with you all some resources that I come back to time and time again.
The first is this great article at Knitty that has a good breakdown of the most popular types of cast-on methods.
There are times that you need to use a provisional cast on, when you will need to go back and pick up stitches along that edge. This article at the Purl Bee blog illustrates a common way to make a provisional cast-on using a crochet chain. Here is a great video showing another way to use a crocheted provisional cast-on.
